Dreaming of Spring
I have to admit, it hasn't been as cold as previous years but that doesn't stop me from dreaming of Spring...a time where the flowers are starting to come back in full bloom. The weather has more warmer days than cooler and of course you can't wait to spend more time outside.
This set is a combination of some new goodies and some oldies but definitely still good. I love this little sweetie. I changed the flower in her hand to match the tulips that are in full bloom. The tulips, fence and wagon are from Heartfelt Creations the little girl is a Magnolia.
Thanks so much for stopping by and Happy Crafting.

Happy New Year!!! I hope you all had a Wonderful Christmas and praying for 2019 to be a Happy, Healthy and Prosperous New Year. My New Years Resolution this year is to work on this Blog a little more than I did in 2018. I made lots of cards and did a little scrapbooking but was too lazy to upload to my blog. I vow to get better at that. lol.
So 2018 did have one big change for me. I finally quit smoking. I've smoked for over 30 years so for me this was huge. I did it completely on my own with no help and of course everyone thought I would go back but I'm happy to say that I have been smoke free since Feb 19, 2018 and I'm so happy that I did it. For me it was just time. So here's to a healthier 2019.
Now that the Christmas cards have been mailed out, I can share some of those here. Penny Black seems to have won my heart this year and this card was inspired by one that I had seen. I changed it up but looking at this card it reminds me so much of my childhood Christmas's. So many wonderful memories there. Here are just a couple of the cards that I did this year.

A commissioned card for a friend
I know it's been a while since I have posted and I am seriously going to try and get better about sharing on my blog.
The card that I'm sharing today was made for a girl at work to give to a friend of hers. Every once in a while, she asks for a card for this friend. My only problem is that I am my own worst critic. If I'm making for myself to give away, I'm usually ok but when someone buys from me...well thats when I get critical. lol
I do love this little cutie though and I'm happy overall with how the card came out. She's a Digital Stamp from Sherri Baldy and she is just the cutest little thing and so fun to color. Thanks so much for stopping by.

Cruise Layouts
Ahhhh....what I wouldn't give to be back on this cruise right now. We had such a fun time on this cruise. Six days of fun in the sun and all the better that we met up with friends on this Cruise. Below are some of the layouts that I've done so far. Still working on this album but considering I have not even started the Cruise for 2014 or 2015, I'm proud of how far I've come with this one. lol

Exhausting but fun day
Well, my mother in law had a pretty bad fall down some stairs and has 3 broken ribs, the good news is that she didn't break her neck or her hip. The good lord was watching over her but unfortunately, she is in a lot of pain so and barely able to move so, instead of going out, my friend Aileen came to my house and we spent the day scrapping, laughing and just hanging out. She's such a sweet person, even brought flowers for my mother in law which definitely helped cheer her up.
So back to the scrapping, we literally (with the exception of checking on MIL) scrapped from 10 O'clock this morning until 9:30 tonight. What a great time. Of course she got more done than I did but still so much fun. We have so much in common and I've really grown to cherish our friendship. She's that person that no matter what you need or when you need it, she'll be there for you.
The weather is getting a little warmer out and everything is starting to bloom in the back yard. The crabapple trees that I planted last year are now getting their leaves and by next month should be covered in beautiful pink blossoms, the blueberry bushes have now started to blossom as well. I can see my cherished blueberries starting to come alive once again and of course it's just about time to plant those Tomato plants. I love spring when everything just comes alive again. It makes you stop to appreciate the little things. I hope that you find that moment that makes you smile. We all have things that we'd like to change but remember that God is in Control. You make your own Happiness so chose to do that something that will bring that happiness to you and find a way to make someone else's day just a little bit brighter.
Oh and just because I've got planting on the brain and believe me when I tell you that I do not have a green thumb, I thought I'd share the proof. These are from last year and can't wait to enjoy them again this year.

New Home, New Scrapbook room
Thanks for popping by. It's been a while since I've updated my blog and so much has happened since my last post. DH and I built a new home and we have since moved. I now have my dream scrapbook room which I got to redesign just the way that I wanted it. I don't have all the fancy cabinets and counters that I was originally going to go with (DH said it was fine but I couldn't justify the expense with all the storage that I already had).
My daughter was an Avid Tinkerbell fan. She loved her and her personality was so similar. Sweet with a little bit of naughty (in a fun way). lol So, I've taken over that love as it reminds me of her and makes me smile. It's like she's with me in that room. I've named the room "The Pixie Parlor" and it makes me so happy to go in there and work or just sit in my chair when I need some "Me" time.
I'm sorry for the overload of pictures but here's hoping that you can get a feel of what the room looks like. It's pink and green and DH told me when he saw it that it was the perfect "Little Girls Room". Yep, that's me. I may be 50 but it's my little girls room. lol
So here's a peek inside of my room. I hope you like it and if you have any questions, please let me know. Happy scrapping.
