More Christmas Cards

Fun weekend spent making Christmas Cards. Mom is here visiting so I was only able to get one card done but hey...that's better than none right? lol

Happy 1st Birthday Babies

Happy Birthday to my sweet babies. I'll admit that these little guys have stolen my heart which I never thought another puppy could do after losing Bruiser but they have. Their Names are Bailey and Brody and they are two completely different personalities. Bailey (the bigger) has such a happy disposition. Never whines and that tail is constantly going. Brody (aka skootchy per my hubby) is a whiner but he's so darn cute. Only the face a momma could love. Anyways, back to the 1st Birthday Party. We celebrated with their first Ice Cream (Frosty Paws) and they loved it. They even donned their Birthday hats for momma to get a picture. Yes, I'm a scrapper as well as a card maker so this was a necessity. Bailey went with the flow...Brody not so much. lol

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas

Everywhere you look....ok, yes corny but just be thankful that you're not listening to me sing this live. lol. I love this time of year with all the pretty decorations and nothing but Hallmark Christmas movies on my TV. My poor hubby on the other hand is not as happy with the 24-7 Hallmark and has to revert to the other room to watch TV. lol. I thought I'd share a few pictures of my house decorated and perhaps my fur babies getting into the spirit of their first Christmas with a little help from yours truly. I hope you all have a truly beautiful and magical holiday and a blessed and New Year!!!!

Can you believe it

I know I can't. How is it that we are in November already. This year has gone by so fast. I feel like it just started and already I'm getting ready to pull out the Christmas decorations. I love the Holiday Season. Such a fun time of year. I've been busy trying to get the last of my Christmas Cards finished up so that I can actually mail them out for everyone to get them in time for Christmas.

Sharing my babies

I just realized that I have not shared my sweet babies with my blogger friends. Wow, how can that be. This is Bailey and Brody. The are my Shitzu puppies and they are too cute. A handful but they are so fun. I love coming home to them and seeing the excitement in their faces when they see me walk in the door.

Christmas is Coming

I can't believe with are almost through August already. It seems like I just took the tree down and put away the Christmas Decorations and in a few short months, we'll do it all over again. When your young, everything seems like it's in slow motion but when you're older...wow, the time really does fly by. Don't blink. So, now its time to really buckle down on the Christmas Cards if I'm going to get them finished in time. Last year, I didn't have nearly enough to send out...this year, I'm determined that I will not fall short. lol Here are a couple that I've done. I love this little deer card. He was inspired by one that I saw on Pinterest and fell in love with but changed to fit my style. Hope you like him.

An attempt at a Prayers card

Apparently I failed miserably at making the card for my girlfriend whose 4 year old son is in the hospital. I love yellow (my favorite color) and thought this looked like a cheery card for my friend. Hubby Kindly informed me that although he loved the card, I could not give it to my friend. So back to the drawing board to come up with a more appropriate card. lol. So the first is the card that I made originally and the 2nd is the remake.

I Otterly love you

Aren't these little Otters just otterly adorable. lol. Ok, just my attempt at a little humor. I decided that since I rarely make hubby cards with the exception of birthday or Anniversary, I needed to do a "Just Because" card to let him know that I love him. He's my rock, my biggest supporter and he supports my habit. No questions asked. Who could ask for me. lol

Crafty weekend

Those are the best kind of weekends for me. I received some new goodies so of course I had to play right? Of course you said "Absolutely". It was nice and always a great way to relieve any of the work week stresses.

I've spent the last few weeks making cards for a crafty friend who was going through Breast Cancer and just finished her final Chemo treatment. These cards are for her to give out to other Cancer Patients that she is or has gone through treatment with. Hopefully, through these cards, we can bring some sunshine to their lives. That's the hope anyways. These are just a few of the ones that I did over the weekend.

Hello, thanks for stopping by. I've spent the past couple of weeks making cards for a Children's Hospital. A friend of mine asked if I would be interested in joining in to make some cards to help cheer up sick Children. Of course the only response that I could think of was "Absolutely". Isn't this the best part of our hobby. Bringing a smile to someones face and I can't think of anyone who may need that more than a sick child. This project was a lot of fun and a little challenging trying to cover the different age groups and wanted to be sure I had some for each group. I think I'm going to continue on with this as it has brought so much joy to be able to do this for them. Thank you to my friend Josephine for asking me to join in. I had so much fun making them.

It's been a crafty sort of weekend which in my book is the best kind. lol. I've been busy creating cards to build up my stash as it has really dwindled.  Thanks so much for stopping by.

Dreaming of Spring

I have to admit, it hasn't been as cold as previous years but that doesn't stop me from dreaming of Spring...a time where the flowers are starting to come back in full bloom.  The weather has more warmer days than cooler and of course you can't wait to spend more time outside.

This set is a combination of some new goodies and some oldies but definitely still good.  I love this little sweetie.  I changed the flower in her hand to match the tulips that are in full bloom.  The tulips, fence and wagon are from Heartfelt Creations the little girl is a Magnolia.

Thanks so much for stopping by and Happy Crafting.

Happy New Year!!!  I hope you all had a Wonderful Christmas and praying for 2019 to be a Happy, Healthy and Prosperous New Year.  My New Years Resolution this year is to work on this Blog a little more than I did in 2018.  I made lots of cards and did a little scrapbooking but was too lazy to upload to my blog.  I vow to get better at that. lol.

So 2018 did have one big change for me.  I finally quit smoking.  I've smoked for over 30 years so for me this was huge.  I did it completely on my own with no help and of course everyone thought I would go back but I'm happy to say that I have been smoke free since Feb 19, 2018 and I'm so happy that I did it.  For me it was just time.   So here's to a healthier 2019.

Now that the Christmas cards have been mailed out, I can share  some of those here.   Penny Black seems to have won my heart this year and this card was inspired by one that I had seen.  I changed it up but looking at this card it reminds me so much of my childhood Christmas's.  So many wonderful memories there.  Here are just a couple of the cards that I did this year.
