Can you stand another Christmas Card

I'm trying to get all my last minute cards done today. Tomorrow I go back to work after being out since my daughter's accident. I'm a little nervous about how I'll do. As the holidays get closer, I seem to have alot more "not so good moments". Maybe this will help keep me busy. We will be getting ready to go back to FL for Christmas and will be leaving Thursday morning for the long drive. Not looking forward to that either. I hope everyone has a wonderful holiday.

Another Christmas Card

This is my first time coloring white and I'm not sure I like it but it's done. I made this card for my mom. I figured I would try the all white challenge over at Magnolicious. I made it a little more bulky since I will be hand delivering it.

For Magnolicious Challenge

The challenge was to create something using letters. So, here is what I came up with. Simple but it adds just a little touch over my entertainment center.

Last for today.

Not really sure that this is a Christmas Card. I wanted to do something a little different for my daughters friends and our family. We haven't really been in the Christmas Spirit but needed to do something so I decided to the little flying angel. Thank you again to Lisa A for generously sending me this stamp.

To all of my family and friends, please know how much you mean to me and how grateful that I am for all the love and support that you've shown me. I know how hard the holidays are but I also know that Cindy would be so upset with us if we skipped it this year. So, please do it for her. I love you!

Here comes Santa Claus

Another Christmas card. I guess I'll just title him Santa Claus is coming to town. Not my most impressive card but oh well. lol

The weather outside is frightful

So, instead I've been hanging out in my new stamp room. I recently moved from my large scraproom downstairs into a spare bedroom upstairs. I have to admit that I love it so much more. It's comfy and cozy.

The last several days have been miserable here in GA. We got snow on Sunday and then went down to a balmy 12 degrees with wind chills -2. Ouch. So, when all else fails make Christmas Cards. I need to finish up and get these in the mail otherwise people are going to be recieving their cards late.

I've decided to keep them simple for mailing purposes.

Here's the first. Snowie. Gosh I love this stamp.

Easel Card Box

This was my first time making one of these boxes and it literally took me all day to make this. Of course it didn't help that I everytime I thought I was finished, I'd find something else to add to it. lol

Anyways, this is for my girlfriend who has a birthday coming up in a couple of days. I'm going to fill the boxes with little scrapping goodies and maybe a maggie or two. I really hope she likes it.

Thanks for stopping by and for all the wonderful comments that have been left on my blog. It really makes my day and puts a smile on my face. Have a wonderful day!

Last Christmas Card of the day

I'm so proud of myself. I actually finished 3 cards today. Woohoo!!!!!!! Here is the last one.

A card for a new friend

I wanted to keep this card rather simple as it is for a special woman that I met on the support group that I've been going to. She lost her 24 year old son on the same day that I lost my daughter. We've really formed a close friendship over the past 2 months. This is the Christmas card that I did for her. The message on the inside of the card simply reads "Angels are watching over us."

I really hope that she likes it. Oh and if you could spare an extra prayer for her as well, I would appreciate it. Her name is Anita and her sons name is Davey. Thanks for stopping by.

A new card

Ok, I must admit that I am so glad that Thanksgiving is over. The entire family was here for the holidays and I'm glad to get my house back in order. I enjoyed having everyone here as it was somewhat of a distraction but also made me miss Cindy that much more. I guess the one thing that I can say is that I'm thankful for my family and friends who have really been a godsend.

Anyways, here is a new card that I made with the adorable Snewwy. I think this has got to be my absolute favorite stamp. Ok, well next to the adorable Angel stamp that Lisa A generously sent to me. I plan on making cards with that one for the people that were closest to Cindy. Haven't come up with the card idea yet.

Halloween Card for my Niece

I started this card before my daughter's accident and came close to throwing it away but I thought maybe it might cheer up my niece who has been struggling with Cindy's death. I know that it doesn't take the pain away, but even if it makes her smile for a second then it's worth it.

My husband is gone for the next 4 days on business, so I thought maybe I'd try and get some cards done. I have a ton of thank you cards that need to be made.

As always, hug your children and let them know everyday how much you love them. God Bless!

My Angel

I wanted to post a message to my online friends to let them know that on September 24th my beautiful daughter was killed in a car accident on her way to school. I'm sorry that it took so long to post this but saying the words meant that it would be real and I just wasn't ready to face that yet.

I have received some emails and I know that I have not responded to them as of yet but please know that I appreciate all of the kind words and prayers. Cindy was only 23 and going to school to be a RN. She was probably the kindest, gentle soul that I know and it's still hard for me to believe that she's not here with me.

Her service was absolutely beautiful and that provided some comfort. I spoke with the pastor for some time during the week before her service. He was very kind and just sat and listened to different stories about Cindy and her life. Alot of those stories were used in her service. That I am very grateful for.

I'm doing better, not good just better. I miss her smile and her "I love you momma's". I know that I'm a strong person and will make it through this but there is one very good lesson to be learned here and I know it's been said a million times. Make the most of each day with your children. Let them know everyday how much you love them. I know I did that with Cindy and I don't doubt for a second that she knew this beyond a shadow of a doubt but I still see people around me that don't. They assume they have all the time in the world and you just never know.
Rest in Peace my sweet baby girl. You were an Angel here on Earth and now your one of God's Angels. I love you so much.

A gift for a friend

Wow, today was definitely a crafty day. lol I made this gift box/cake for a friends birthday. I'm planing to fill it with some scrapping and stamping goodies. Hopefully she'll like it.

My Magnolia Catalog

I have a bad habit of duplicate buying because I never did out all of my magnolia's to make sure that I don't already have something. So, I came up with this. I've stamped all of my images in this for quick reference to what I have. I also included a couple of pocket pages to hold my images that I've used to mask. There is also a page for my favorite online stores as well as another page that lists all of my copics.
This was really alot of fun to make, not to mention that I finally got to play with my new bind it all. I think this may be my new best friend. (Next to my copics and magnolias). Thanks for stopping by and for all the wonderful comments that you have left on my projects. I really appreciate it.

A new Card

I made this one for the Magnolicious Birthday Challenge. Thanks for looking.

My uh hum...scraproom. Before pictures

This is what I found when I returned home from FL. My shelves had fallen off the the wall and there was glass everywhere. I was devastated. It took alot of work to get it back in shape.

Another Lazy Sunday

And here is my room since I've cleaned up the disaster I came home to. It took me over a week to clean up the mess and reorganize. Unfortunately, all the shelves that were up on the wall came down. There was glass everywhere since I had my penny jars up there.

Accordian Card Storage

I've had quite a few people inquire as to where to find the tutorial to make the box shown below. It really is very easy to do and I had so much fun doing it. I've listed the link below (hopefully this works) Thanks so much for all the comments. You really made my day.

Happy Mother's Day

Today was exactly how Mother's Day should be spent. Doing exactly what I wanted to do. It started out with Blueberry Pancakes made by my hubby (mmm...yummy). Oh and of course he made me dinner as well, Steak on the grill. I could definitely get used to this. Too bad it's only for one day!

So here is how I spent Mother's Day. Down in my scraproom for the entire day. I managed to get a few cards done and this cute card holder. I decided to do this one for my friend. Hopefully she'll like it. DH was trying to talk me into selling it instead. I might make some for my etsy shop but I haven't decided yet. We'll see. OK, enough rambling. It's late and I have to get up for work in the morning. Hope everyone had a wonderful day today!!!!

Mother's Day

I can't believe we are already into May and Mother's Day is next week. Unfortunatley I won't be able to spend the day with either my mother or my daughter but I will get to go home for Memorial Day. Woohoo!!!!!!!!!

Here is a card that I did for my mom using the adorable Tulip Tilda. Love love love her.

My copic storage

Just thought I'd share how I'm storing my copic markers. I originally had them in the plastic containers that hold 36 markers but after I outgrew 5 of those containers I decided it was time to try something new. Not too mention that trying to carry them upstairs if I wanted to color while watching TV with DH was a chore. This makes it so much easier. Compact and all together and that cute little bird is actually the handle. I have a little room to grow but not much. I actually counted my markers and have 164. Considering that I just started with copics about 2 months ago, my addiction has definitely taken over.

What a beautiful Sunday

Today was definitely what you would call a lazy day. I only left my scraproom to put a load of laundry in and get something to eat. I did manage to color some tilda's and make an easel card. I'm really happy with the way this one turned out. This card is for my daughter. I really hope she likes it. Well, off to play some more.

Another PM Easter Card

Sssh...don't tell DH, but I actually threw this card together this morning. I made all my other Easter Cards that I was sending out and completely forgot about DH. So, this little bunny seemed to be perfect for a quick card.
The bunny is another PM scanned image from my iron on transfer book. To think I almost threw it away. Eeek...what was I thinking. lol Hope everyone had a wonderful Easter.

This is a PM card that I did for DH. Anyone who knows me, knows that I have a strong addiction to Precious Moments as well. This image actually came from a Iron On Transfer book that I've had forever. I just scanned it to make it a digital image and colored it with my coveted copics. I'm actually still learning how to use them, but so far I love them.

Completely confused. lol

Ok, so I thought since evreyone is doing it, I'd hop on the bandwagon as well. I've never attempted this before so please be gentle. I guess I figure it's a great way to share what's happening here in GA with my family back in FL. Oh and not too mention share some of
my stamping and scrapping with my fellow addicts...uh huh...I mean friends.

Happy Easter everyone. Don and I are off for the day to take a drive up to Helen. It's a
gorgeous day and can't imagine a better way to spend it than taking a drive with my hubby.
Have a great day!
